The Hofstede model

  Hofstede's 6-dimensional model helps us and helps us to identify the cultural behaviors of each group. In addition, it helps improve our understanding of other cultures by examining how cultural values view this behavior.However, in this space we will focus on comparing individualism vs collectivism and indulgence vs restraint. In the first place, individualism can be defined as the level at which individuals are integrated into society and the feeling of belonging to the group,that is, individuals tend to worry about themselves and their closest family. When the opposite case occurs, we would be in a collectivist scenario.hen we find ourselves in a very collectivist society, the group ties are broader and the family unit is much more extensive. Relationship between multi-active and Italian customs

  This week we will reflect on the approach of lewis models and how and why Italians are within multiactive. Firstly,one of the customs that characterize Italians is the importance they give to the family and spending time with them.This aspect is related to the characteristic that describes the cultures located at the multi active level.This mean that los multi-active are considered people  who attach great importance to family. Secondly,another characteristic of Italians is the importance that the majority belief to religion. For example: religious buildings can't be visited with shorts or sleeveless shirts. Nor should you raise your voice, especially in religious services.The belief and importance in religion is another relevant aspect that characterizes the countries and their cultures identified as multi-active. Finally, we can highlight from the Italian culture that they are usually eloquent people with expressive body language. To be more precise,in Italy to greet each other

ITALY : Beliefs,concepts and roles

  I decided to choose this beautiful country because I have always had great admiration and curiosity for  two aspects: its food and its customs. Italy is one of the countries in the world with a great gastronomic and cultural wealth. I think, we all at least know Italian pizza and pasta. But, they are not the only gastronomic dishes that we can find in this wonderful country and that we hope in this blog to discover. On the other hand, for Italians, food or the time to eat is not just that, for them, it represents an important moment of their day, so their customs will also be an important issue that we will find out in this space. But without a doubt we will focus on those aspects that are not so easy to identify such as: beliefs,concepts and roles.
